How hot is too hot for cats

What are the signs that cats are afraid of heat?

Level 1: Lying on the floor

When cats feel the heat, their first reaction is to lie on the floor.

When the temperature gets a little higher, the properties of some cats that are afraid of heat will become apparent.
Just like I have 3 cats at home, 2 short-haired cats and 1 long-haired cat.
This long-haired cat is particularly afraid of heat. The other two cats can still bask in the sun, but it hides in a dark corner.
If I turn on the air conditioner fan, the long-haired cat will definitely come over and use the coolness of the fan and air conditioner.
Generally speaking, most cats will be fine just lying on the floor.
However, long-haired cats are really afraid of heat.
For example: Blue Highland cats, Linqing lion cats, Ragdoll cats, Garfield cats, etc. They are generally afraid of heat.

Level 3: Hiding in the refrigerator

When cats reach the highest level of heat, they will hide in the refrigerator.
You’ve seen dogs hiding in refrigerators, but have you ever seen kittens hiding in refrigerators?
Usually, after you open the refrigerator, the cat will rush to you at a very fast speed, and then jump into the refrigerator and refuse to come out.
Cats will only do this when the temperature is quite high.

In addition to domestic pet cats, stray cats also have a hard time when the weather is hot.

If the cold weather is fatal to stray cats, then the hot weather will make stray cats feel that they have nowhere to go.

They also desperately need to find a cool place.

Stray cats that are fed regularly by people generally don’t run too far.
There are also some stray cats who will hide under cars, because cars can block the sun for stray cats, leaving a “shade” that is unique to cats.
