Some newborn puppies will not be able to nurse on their own. If this happens, the experts will do this as I did. Open the puppy’s mouth, then squeeze out some milk from the mother dog’s nipple and put it into the puppy’s mouth. My female dog was born by caesarean section, and the incision has not healed yet, so it will hurt a little when I touch her. Please be careful when operating this.

Newborn puppies need an electric mattress to keep them warm. If the temperature at home is particularly low, plug in the electric mattress and turn it on high. Low body temperature is also the reason why puppies don’t eat milk. Some puppies fall asleep after eating. At this time, we move them and they slowly eat by themselves. Everyone needs to be patient during this process, and the puppy will slowly learn to nurse. As long as there is no problem with it, health will definitely feed itself.

First temperature

 It is the number one killer of puppy survival. Once the temperature is lower than 12 degrees, puppies cannot open their mouths to feed. The most suitable temperature is 18 to 22 degrees. Electric hot plates, semi-tropical tropics, baking lamps, etc. can be used to provide warmth for puppies in winter. Humidity. 

Excessive humidity in the den in winter will cause the puppy’s body temperature to become imbalanced. The diaper pad must be replaced in time to keep the den dry.

Windproof

Especially if the birthing nest is placed outdoors,the birthing nest must be sealed to prevent wind. Wind in the puppy’s belly can easily cause diarrhea, cold spleen and stomach, poor energy, and no need to eat milk.

The fourth is bloated milk and poisonous milk. 

You heard it right, don’t give your female dog too much nutrition in the first two or three days after she gives birth. In the early stages, puppies require very little milk. Excessive high-nutrient supplementation to female dogs can easily cause bloated milk and poisonous milk.

In the former case, you have to worry about the health of the dog. After the dog is born, is there a checkup to see if it is a healthy dog?
In the latter case, is a good living environment ensured during the period when the dog is born? Either I can’t suck milk or I can’t eat milk. You can try to buy a milk bottle for dogs at a pet store. Prick a few holes in the baby’s pacifier. Hold the dog’s chin with one hand and hold the bottle with the other. Put the pacifier into the dog’s mouth. Be gentle and try to artificially feed the dog. Dog milk, or skim milk, not cow’s milk. If that doesn’t work, just mix millet porridge with protein powder and feed it together. Don’t feed too much at one time, but eat multiple meals.
It is necessary to find a way to feed your dog. If a bottle is inconvenient, use a syringe instead of a needle and sterilize it before use. Be patient and feed. Don’t force it.
Wipe your dog’s butt with a wet tissue to let him poop.
Ensure your dog’s temperature. Now is the transition from winter to spring. Dogs are prone to colds and can get canine distemper accidentally.
